Daisuke Sekimoto ganó el Fighting Spirit Puroresu Award 2013 que concede Tokyo Sports cada año al luchador con más espíritu del año. El BJW Strong World Heavyweight luchó en más de 141 combates en empresas como Pro Wrestling Zero1, Legend the Pro-Wrestling, Osaka Pro Wrestling, Tenryu Project, DDT, Kaientai Dojo, Wrestle-1, Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), Westside Xtreme Wrestling y Pro Wrestling NOAH y defendiendo en 9 ocasiones su campeonato.
En el vídeo podemos ver el combate que tuvo contra Manabu Soya y en el que ganó el campeonato trayéndolo de vuelta a BJW desde AJPW. Las votaciones quedaron de la siguiente forma:
