Eddie Kingston , el luchador de Nueva York, ha demostrado este año que puede ser un gran campeón no en vano lleva mas de un año con el título de Grand Champion de Chikara y eso que el por el camino han quedado rivales de la talla de Vin Gerard, Jigsaw, Dasher Hatfield, Brodie Lee, Sara del Rey o el propio Kevin Steen. Además Eddie Kingston ha tenido participaciones en CZW donde ganó a Joker en una Philadelphia Street Fight, en la empresa AIW donde luchó por el título contra Bj Whitmer pero el encuentro fue declarado No Contest. En otra empresa como JAPW se proclamó campeón de parejas junto a Homicide en el show del 14 aniversario tras derrotar a Philly´s Most Wanted (BLK Jeez & Joker). En Chikara aparte de las luchas por el título también disputó otros combates como los que le enfrento a 17, Shard o Harlem Bravado. Por último cabe destacar el combate por el título de los pesos pesados de ROH que tuvo en el show de Boiling Point de la empresa en el mes de agosto y donde después de una magnifica lucha ante Kevin Steen cayó derrotado pero se llevó una ovación por parte del público presente.
