Gregory Iron el luchador de Ohio, no ha seguido con la progresión esperada este 2012 tras ser uno de los rookies mas importantes del 2011 y darse a conocer como The Handicapped Hero. A pesar de esto Iron ha seguido dando buenos combates principalmente en AAW donde ha tenido combates interesantes en individual ante Shane Hollister, Marcus Crane  y Jordan McIntyre. En la misma empresa formó equipo con Dan Lawrence para enfrentarse a The Clash (Austin Mannix & Cameron Skyy) y Marcus Crane & Shane Hollister pero ambos combates acabaron en derrota. Gregory Iron también participó en el ECWA Super 8 Tournament donde llegó hasta semifinales perdiendo ante Bandido Jr., anteriormente había derrotado en primera ronda a Kyle Matthews. En AIW disputó el JT Lighting Inivtational Tournament pero cayó en primera ronda a manos de Ophidian. Pero posteriormente formó un tag team con Veda Scott, llamado Hope & Glory con quien conseguiría los títulos de parejas. En Chikara este año ha participado en dos shows en el primero formó tag team junto a Eddie Kingston para caer derrotados en un combate fatal four way, donde ganaron DBK (Tim Donst & Jakob Hammermaier) y donde también estuvieron The Batiri (Kodama & Obariyon) y 3.0 (shane Matthews & Scott Parker). En el segundo se enfrentó en un combate individual al Gran Akuma, combate que también acabaría perdiendo.

Gregory Iron, Ohio wrestler has not followed the expected progression this 2012 after being one of the most important rookies 2011 and become known as The Handicapped Hero. Despite this Iron has continued giving good matches mainly in AAW where has had interesting individual matches against Shane Hollister, Marcus Crane and Jordan McIntyre. In the same company teamed with Dan Lawrence to take on The Clash (Cameron Skyy & Austin Mannix) and Marcus Crane & Shane Hollister but both bouts ended in defeat. Gregory Iron also participated in the ECWA Super 8 Tournament where he reached the semifinals losing to Bandido Jr., had previously defeated Kyle Matthews in the first round. In AIW disputed The Inivtational Lighting JT Tournament first round but fell into the hands of Ophidian. But after that formed a tag team with Veda Scott, called Hope & Glory and won the tag titles. In Chikara this year has participated in two shows, in the first one formed a tag with Eddie Kingston to fall defeated in a Fatal Four Way combat, where DBK (Tim Donst & Jakob Hammermaier) won and also wrestled by The Batiri (Kodama & Obariyon) and 3.0 (Shane Matthews & Scott Parker). In the second show he faced Gran Akuma in a singles match, also end up losing that combat.
