Jake Crist, el luchador de Ohio, ha tenido un año de reconocimiento dentro del mundo independiente llegando a debutar en empresas como Ring of Honor y siendo campeones por parejas actualmente de tres empresas distintas al finalizar el año 2012, AAW, APWA & IWA East Coast. Jake Crist empezó el año siendo campeón de parejas junto a su hermano Dave, conocidos como Irish Airbone en AAW, título que perderían en el mes de enero ante Jimmy Jacobs & Arik Cannon pero que recuperarían ante los mismos rivales en el show de AAW «Windy City Classic VIII» de noviembre de 2012. Además en APWA consiguieron los títulos en junio tras vencer a New Tradition (Bobby Shields & Chase Stevens), y en agosto consiguieron los títulos de IWA al vencer a Murder Death Kill (Chance Prophet & The Juggulator). En CZW empezó el año con una gran rivalidad con su hermano Dave por el título Wired pero una vez Dave ganó el feudo y a su vez perdió el título, los hermanos se juntaron de nuevo bajo las siglas OI4K para convertirse en una de las mejores parejas de la empresa. OI4K han contado sus combates por victorias ante Greg Excellent & Shane Strickland, Dynamic Duo (Rich Swann & ACH), The Super Smash Brothers, The Briscoes hasta llegar a un combate por el number 1 contender ante BLK Jeez en Cage of Death 14 que acabó en No contest.
