Es una pregunta al vuelo surgida de un grupo de facebook, pero no deja de ser algo a tener en cuenta por lo que tiene de trasfondo…
Si el tema del contagio de Ébola en España, concretamente en Madrid, se mantiene o se complica a lo largo de estas tres o cuatro semanas… ¿WWE se podría plantear anular su cita en Madrid de Noviembre para evitar el más mínimo riesgo?
Para todas y todos los que seáis de España, pero especialmente para aquellos que no sois de aquí e igual no seguís las noticias al respecto, deciros que ayer saltó la alarma del primer caso de contagio por Ébola de una ciudadana española y europea, en territorio español y por ende europeo. Hasta la fecha los dos casos documentados de ciudadanos europeos contagiados ha sido en territorio africano que una vez diagnosticados han sido repatriados a España pero no han podido ser salvados.
El nuevo caso es una enfermera que al parecer, y en territorio español, trató al segundo infectado repatriado y ahora ella ha sido diagnosticada.
WWE suele ser muy, demasiado hermética con todo lo que le rodea en sus shows y especialmente en sus salidas fuera de USA donde todo está especialmente controlado y milimetrado para que los problemas, si es que aparecen, sean los mínimos y se solucionen lo antes posible y por su equipo.
Pero claro, cuando el problema es algo ajeno a WWE que ellos no pueden controlar, la cosa toma un matiz más oscuro. Seguramente WWE no iría a ningún show programado fuera de USA donde días antes hubiera ocurrido un terremoto, una inundación o cosas parecidas. Es una cuestión de lógica.
Entonces, si tienes que ir a un país, a una ciudad donde se ha dado semanas antes el primer caso de contagio por ébola de toda Europa y en territorio europeo, y además sabiendo que la gestión sanitaria del gobierno de turno no ha sido la más acertada, y que también no se tiene demasiado claro quién es el paciente 0 de toda esta historia… y si a todo esto sumas que el mercado español para WWE es totalmente secundario y que el show de noviembre se metió con calzador a última hora, y para finalizar, que este show siendo el único en España es en la misma ciudad donde se ha dado el caso….. ¿Creéis que WWE se planteará en las próximas semanas una nueva cancelación en nuestro país?
A favor de la no cancelación habría que decir que las ventas del show están saliendo muy bien, que la promoción supera con creces a las anteriores veces, que en teoría un infectado y controlado no debería suponer ningún peligro en absoluto para una pandemia que en principio no se transmite por el aire, y que a buen seguro WWE, al igual que la última vez, no hará noche en Madrid sino que vendrá por la mañana y cogerán el último vuelo de la noche ya que esta viene siendo su rutina de los últimos años.
Aunque en contra de la no cancelación podríamos decir que ya todos sabemos cómo es WWE en cuanto al hermetismo y como se cuida de todo y de todos los que le rodean cuando salen fuera de USA. El mero hecho de la amenaza latente, el solo tener un show en Madrid y el no ser un mercado principal puede decantar la balanza en cuestión de segundos hacia el lado en el que ninguno de los aficionados del universo WWE queremos que caiga.
La duda está ahí, veremos cómo se desarrolla este tema a lo largo de las siguientes semanas y mientras tanto…¿tú que opinas?
