Llega un nuevo PPV a nuestras pantallas, este domingo NoC  se acerca al universo WWE con casi todos los títulos en juego. Y digo casi porque el USA de momento no se ha mencionado y el IC no está en juego. Aún recuerdo cuando hace algunos años vendían este PPV como aquel en el cual todos los cinturones se ponían en juego, pero con el paso del tiempo, la realidad es que esto de los PPV temáticos está quedando desfasado porque al final terminan haciendo lo que quieren y como quieren, mezclando conceptos y demás historias que poco o nada tienen que ver con el PPV en sí. Definitivamente, y con el cambio de nombre de algunos de ellos, vamos por el camino de hacer PPV generalistas, a excepción de dos o tres al año, donde la regla general es que no hay regla para el PPV. Lo que veremos será un RAW más SD! sin anuncios y más concentrado, donde los combates tendrán más protagonismo que en los shows semanales.

En cuanto a NoC, es un PPV de segundo nivel con poco que ofrecer a excepción de la continuidad de las historias de Bryan contra Orton y la Empresa, y el feudo entre Punk contra Axel y Heyman. Poco más hay atractivo (no por los combates, sino por las historias) en este show, que no deja de ser de transición entre mes y mes.

Comes a new PPV to our screens, this Sunday NoC approaches the WWE Universe with almost all game titles. I say almost because the USA has yet been mentioned. I still remember a few years ago sold this PPV as one in which all the belts were at stake, but with the passage of time, the reality is that the PPV this theme is getting outdated because they end up doing what they want, mixing concepts and other stories that have little or nothing to do with the PPV itself. Definitely, and renaming of some of them, we are on track to do PPV in general, except for two or three a year, where the general rule is that there is no rule for the PPV. What we will see will be a more RAW SD! no ads and more concentrated, where fighting will have more importance than the weekly shows.

As for NoC, is a second-level PPV with little to offer except for the continuity of the stories of Bryan against Orton and the Company, and the feud between Punk against Axel and Heyman. Little else is attractive (not by fighting, but by the stories) in this show, which continues to be a transition between month and month.

Prime Time Players vs. The Usos vs. Tons of Funk vs. The Real Americans vs. 3MB (Tag Team Turmoil No. 1 Contender’s Match)

Como el tiempo del combate en este preshow sea el mismo al que nos viene acostumbrando WWE en anteriores PPV, la verdad, no se como van a llegar a meter a 10 luchadores y que den algo de juego. Combate pactado para saber quiénes serán los aspirantes por los cintos por parejas que se enfrentarán a The Shield durante el show. El método del combate será que dos parejas luchen en el ring hasta que una pierda, en ese momento entra otra a seguir luchando contra los ganadores y así hasta que solo quede una. De momento no sabemos el orden en que subirán, ni quienes serán las dos primeras en luchar.

Parece que todo se ha orquestado para poder cubrir la “ausencia” de quiénes parecían los retadores naturales, Big Show y Henry. Pero aunque este último tiene el alta médica para competir, a última hora no se ha formalizado ese combate. Particularmente creo que el preshow lo ganarán Prime Time Players ya que son los que más push han cogido en las últimas semanas, y no por la salida del armario de Young. El combate será visto y no visto. 10 hombres para no más de 10 minutos es totalmente ridículo. Será muy rápido y sin apenas nada que destacar. Conociendo a WWE, darán más tiempo e importancia a las entradas de los Tag que al combate en sí.

Divas Champion AJ Lee vs. Natalya vs. Brie Bella vs. Naomi (Fatal 4-Way Match)

Con lo bien y lo bonito que estaba el feudo de la campeona y Kaitlyn, y ahora van y meten a estas tres en un fatal 4 way solo y exclusivamente para seguir dando publicidad a Total Divas,  que por cierto, está pegando una bajada de espectadores muy importante. Es la única razón, no hay más, pero además y estoy seguro de ello, le quitarán el cinto de campeona a AJ en favor de una de las tres, que seguramente sea Brie Bella, para poder lucirlo así en el pseudo-reality y tener así más ángulos para el programa.. El discurso y la salida por la cara de AJ de las últimas semanas no ha tenido la suficiente fuerza como para que se mantenga como campeona. Si dos Divas luchando (a excepción de los dos últimos PPV) ya nos parece bastante poco atractivo, no digamos 4 en el ring y entre ellas dos a Naomi y Brie Bella. Espero que el peso del combate se de entre Natalya y AJ para poder tener algo decente para ver (si es así, serán unos minutos entretenidos de fuerza frente a agilidad), aunque finalmente sea Brie quien gane el cinto mariposa.

USA Champion Dean Ambrose vs. Ziggler

Vamos con el combate por el título USA que aun no se ha anunciado oficialmente pero que todo el mundo conoce desde las grabaciones del martes de SmackDown. En fin, poco que decir para un combate de relleno en un cartel de relleno para un PPV de relleno. Ziggler sigue castigado por la empresa debido a su salida de tono, pero sigue siendo un gran reclamo publicitario y no podían no ponerle en este show. Aunque sea en este combate donde por mucho que haga terminará ganando y reteniendo Ambrose (ya sea por meritos propios o por ayuda del resto de The Shield o incluso por la intervención de Vickie Guerrero…). Apesar de todo esto, creo que veremos un gran combate ya que Ziggler tiene que volver a ganarse el favor de la empresa, y la única manera que tiene es subirse al ring, hacer una gran réplica a Ambrose y ganarse al público. La verdad es que es una pena después de verlo tanto tiempo alrededor del WHC que ahora baje a los infiernos, pero también le viene bien para no bajar la guardia. Ambrose estará genial, sobretodo porque tendrá que ponerse al nivel que Ziggler quiera marcar.

Come to the USA title match was not yet officially announced but everyone knows from Tuesday’s SmackDown recordings. Anyway, little to say for a bout filling a filler PPV. Ziggler is punished for the company due to his outburst, but still a great publicity stunt and they could not put on this show. World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio vs. Rob Van Dam

A pesar que en una reciente entrevista ADR reconoció que no conocía muy bien a RVD y tampoco su estilo de lucha, pero que aun así estaba muy contento por su contrato y por cómo están llevando este feudo, lo cierto es que viendo los últimos combates entre ellos, la química está funcionando. ADR quiere consolidarse como campeón y llegar a WM con el cinto aunque esto no va ser fácil. El camino es complicado y Alberto ha demostrado  cuando no se juega el cinto que no es infalible y se le puede vencer, aunque es cierto que con el cinto en juego, ADR se sobrepone y lo deja todo el en ring. RVD será otro obstáculo a superar, y muy difícil. Desde que volvió  en MITB no solo se ha echado al público encima cada vez que sale, sino que ha demostrado que ha vuelto en una forma increíble sumando victorias individuales. ADR retendrá el campeonato aunque confío que la storyline siga con RVD ahora que Ziggler anda desaparecido. Será un combate muy intenso, marcado por los vuelos de RVD y los ataques físicos e inmovilizaciones de ADR.

Although in a recent interview ADR acknowledged that he knew well to RVD nor his fighting style, but still was very happy with his contract and how they are taking this feud, the truth is that seeing the latest fighting between them, the chemistry is working. ADR wants to establish itself as a champion and get to WM with the belt but this will not be easy. The path is complicated and Alberto has shown when not playing the belt that is not foolproof and can be overcome, although it is true that with the belt at stake, ADR overlaps and leaves it all in the ring. RVD will be another obstacle to overcome, and very difficult. Since returning in MITB not only the public has taken over every time he goes, but he has shown he’s back in an amazing way by adding individual victories. ADR retain the championship but I am confident that the storyline continues with RVD now that Ziggler goes missing. CM Punk vs. Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel & Paul Heyman (Handicap Elimination Match)

Punk está como loco por pillar a Heyman y le da igual quien se ponga por delante. No será el ME de la noche pero seguro que es la mejor historia del Show. Es la más divertida y la más interesante, y con el paso de las semanas y los programas semanales no ha bajado de intensidad. El combate será especialmente contra Axel y será en ese donde ambos luchadores se dejen la piel sobre el ring ya que los dos tienen un físico similar aunque la experiencia de Punk es un grado. No será tan intenso como contra Lesnar, pero si será más ágil y rápido. Espero que el primer asalto lo gane Punk para poder dedicarse a continuación a perseguir a Heyman. Recordemos que hay una estipulación por la cual Heyman no puede irse del combate, con lo cual necesitará una ayuda que Axel no podrá prestar por estar vencido. Aquí es donde creo que aparecerá para hacer el salve de Heyman su enigmático nuev@ chico o chica Heyman, ya que veo que es la única salida lógica para este feudo y poder tener así una continuidad interesante en el futuro.

 

Punk is as crazy catch Heyman and do not care who they put in front. There will be the ME of the night but it sure is the best story of the show. It’s more fun and more interesting, and over the weeks and weekly programs has not decreased in intensity. The bout will be especially against Axel and will be in that where both fighters leave the skin on the ring as the two have a similar physical experience although Punk is a degree. It will not be as strong as Lesnar, but it will be more agile and fast. I hope I win the first assault to dedicate Punk then persecuting Heyman. Recall that there is a stipulation by which Heyman can not leave the fight, which will need an aid that may not lend Axel for being defeated. This is where I will appear to make the save of his enigmatic new Heyman guy or girl, as I see it is the only logical for this feud and a continuity can be interesting in the future.

Tag Team Championship Reigns & Rollins vs. Contenders #1

Este combate se ha anunciado que se celebrará durante el show aunque no existe una foto oficial ni nada parecido por parte de WWE. En teoría habrá un combate por el título por parejas entre los actuales campeones y los ganadores del preshow que como ya he dicho creo que serán Prime Time Players. Si finalmente se produce, y a pesar que creo que los actuales ganadores retendrán (tienen que seguir siendo campeones para continuar como agregados y guardaespaldas de la corporación en la storyline de Bryan) será un combate muy duro con protagonismo de Reigns y Titus y sus continuos movimientos de fuerza sobre el ring. Creo que en algún momento Big Show y Henry entrarán en el juego, posiblemente para defender a los perdedores, y así iniciar el posible feudo que debería haberse dado antes y que culminará en un combate por el título entre ambas parejas en un próximo PPV, aunque el último rol que WWE ha preparado para Show como acólito de la Corporación puede hacer que estos planes se caigan.

This fight has been announced to be held during the show although there is no official picture or anything by WWE. In theory there will be a title match between current pairs champions and winners of the preshow which as I said I think it will be Prime Time Players. If eventually occur, and although I retain the current winners (must remain champions to continue as aggregates and bodyguard of the corporation in the storyline of Bryan) will be a very tough battle with prominence Reigns and Titus and continuous movements force in the ring. I think at some point Big Show and Henry will come into play, possibly to defend the losers, and initiate a possible feud that should have been given before and culminating in a title match between the two couples in an upcoming PPV, although the latter role has prepared WWE for Show as an acolyte of the Corporation may make these plans fall.

WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan

Vamos con el ME de la noche, Bryan quiere ser la nueva cara de WWE y los McMahon no quieren, prefieren a Orton. Fin de la historia en resumidas cuentas y en base a estas dos líneas se ha montado la historia actual, y toda la que queda por venir hasta su culminación en WM. De momento, y con Cena lesionado, van a protagonizar los ME de los próximos tres PPV al menos. Combates muy explosivos y mucho más rápidos que los que protagoniza Cena por el hecho de ser dos luchadores más ágiles y con un abanico más amplio de movimientos. Espero que Bryan vuelva a lucirse y dejarlo todo el ring y que Orton le haga una muy buena réplica. Orton retendrá de nuevo ya que Bryan no podrá ganar seguramente por la intervención de los McMahon, Triple H o algún luchador heel como Ambrose que no tiene combate esta noche.

 

Come to the ME of the night, Bryan wants to be the new face of WWE and McMahon did not want, prefer to Orton. Y este es todo el cartel que WWE oficialmente ha preparado para NoC. Muy deficiente e incompleto para lo que solía ser este PPV. Quedan muchas incógnitas sobre lo que pasará durante el show, que seguro que pasará algo de lo que no está programado porque no van a hacer solo 6 combates de media hora cada uno.

Quedan en el tintero Ambrose y el USA, Cody (incluso su hermano) y Sandow, Kofi, Ziggler, Ryback, Big E. , el ángulo  de Christian e incluso Santino con su buen regreso a las pantallas.

Pero de todo ello, de lo que pase oficialmente, de lo que no pase y  las sorpresas, hablaremos a la vuelta.

And this is all the sign that WWE has officially ready for NoC. Very poor and incomplete for what used to be this PPV. There are still many unknowns about what will happen during the show, which will surely something that is not scheduled because they will not do just 6 fights half hour each.

Ambrose are in the pipeline and the USA, Cody (including his brother) and Sandow, Kofi, Ziggler, Ryback, Big E. , the angle of Christian and even Santino with his safe return to TV.
