MONEY IN THE BANK… uno de los PPW de WWE más esperados del año, pero no por el conjunto de los combates sino por aquellos en los que los luchadores se juegan el maletín, la posibilidad de ser campeones en el momento y lugar que elijan. Sin duda un gran aliciente por dejarlo todo sobre el ring y sobre las escaleras. Además este mes contamos con el otro gran atractivo del show, el regreso después de cuatro años fuera de WWE de ¡RVD! que sin duda hará explosionar a la grada. El resto del cartel suele ser de relleno y con pocos o ningún cambio de título de manos, y este año no es una excepción a la regla. Varios combates sin mucha trascendencia ni historia detrás que los mantengan, ni antes, ni después del PPV, y si acaso, el combate por el título de la WWE será el único que pueda robar algo de protagonismo a los combates por el maletín, pero no por el resultado (que de antemano se sabe que retiene Cena) sino por ver de nuevo a Henry en el papel que más le pega, el de destructor libre por todo el ring, y esto lo digo por la porquería de combate que dio contra Sheamus en ese combate atado con cuerdas que no le dio ningún tipo de libertad de acción.

WWE Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns vs. The Usos (Kickoff Match Pre-Show)

Pues la verdad es que es una gran pena que un combate de esta gran calidad y que podría ser un gran espectáculo de fuerza pero sobretodo de agilidad y movimientos aéreos, sea relegado al pre-show donde no podrán dar nada de juego por la limitación de tiempo. No sé quién es la mente maestra que decide este tipo de cosas, pero en todo un MITB, un combate por el título por parejas debería formar parte del PPV en sí en detrimento de otros programados que no tienen historia ni sentido (¿Ryback vs. Jericho por ejemplo?). Retendrán los actuales campeones sin problemas mayores esperando, previsiblemente, a la Militia de Colter en Summerslam.

Y a mí que me parece que este es el combate de tapadillo del PPV y que será de los mejores que veamos en la noche del domingo. Tiene todos los ingredientes para ello, una historia interesante y dos luchadores muy parecidos en físico y calidad que van a ir al desgaste del contrario buscando la rendición. Si lo saben mantener bien, este feudo y este campeonato puede tener mucha trayectoria a diferencia del de Barrett. Además no olvidemos la presencia de Heyman en la esquina que siempre tiene un plus de incertidumbre. Miz busca tu tercer IC pero me temo que en este PPV retendrá Curtis Axel para seguir promocionando su push después de haber subido el listón muchísimo con Triple H y Cena.

Fuerza contra agilidad y tensión contra destreza es lo que van a dar Kaitlyn y AJ en este combate. Han tenido y siguen teniendo una buena historia detrás que lo sustente y esto lo hace más atractivo. Además, después del buen combate del PPV anterior y el último segmento protagonizado en RAW que fue calificado como un gran segmento, podemos esperar un combate muy atractivo e interesante en el que AJ Lee retendrá el campeonato.

Si hacemos caso a las noticias futuras, ADR retendrá el campeonato aunque personalmente intuyo que Ziggler saldrá campeón, da mucho más juego y espectáculo y es necesario que tenga el cinturón para seguir la historia con AJ siendo los dos campeones.

No sabían qué hacer con Ryback y han dicho, bueno que luche con Jericho para que al menos gane un combate en un PPV… además, como Jericho va a desaparecer un tiempo por su gira musical, pues tampoco importa mucho porque al parecer le gusta su papel de jobber… Así que lo mezclamos todo y tenemos este combate del que Ryback saldrá ganador para mantener de alguna manera su papel de destructor que últimamente había perdido con tantas derrotas consecutivas… y así, hasta que se inventen algo nuevo donde colocarlo.

Por el plantel de luchadores que forman parte y quieren la victoria. Hay una grandísima calidad entre ellos destacando la fuerza y la técnica. No será un combate de altos vuelos  ni grandes saltos pero si de mucha calidad sobre el ring y fuera de él. Si analizamos fríamente las expectativas futuras de los participantes y como han de rendir en sus próximos feudos, el ganador lógico del combate será Barrett en un mano a mano frente a Fandango. Cesaro y Swagger seguramente se enfrentarán como Militia por el Tag en Summerslam al igual que Ambrose defenderá el USA. Cody y Sandow vuelven a ser equipo y que uno ganara rompería esa línea. Solo quedan Fandango y Barrett libres por el maletín, y sinceramente, Fandango está muy bien como está y aún no tiene credibilidad suficiente como para competir por el WHC.

El gran combate de la noche, siete ex – campeones del mundo compitiendo por el maletín que da derecho a intentar ir a por el título de la WWE. Hay una gran variedad de estilos y de talentos. Fuerza, agilidad, técnica, sumisiones… etc. Hay de todo y todo está representado en alguno de los luchadores. La vuelta de RVD será el punto de inflexión del combate en cuanto aparezca, y el duelo de egos con Punk será realmente interesante. Existe aún la duda de si Kane podrá aparecer debido a su reciente lesión o si será sustituido en el último momento. Se especula con que será Bray Wyatt quien lo haga, pero personalmente no creo que pase esto ya que  entonces el espíritu All-Stars desaparecería. Creo que aquí estará la sorpresa de la noche con una incorporación y un regreso de última hora (¿Rey Misterio?). Sea cual sea, será mejor que Kane ya que a priori es el que más desentona del resto. Creo que el maletín lo ganará Bryan por todo el push que se le ha dado en los últimos meses y por la idea que tiene WWE de enfeudarlo con Cena, qué mejor hacerlo con el maletín debajo del brazo, ¿no?, aunque no podemos olvidar a CM Punk ya que el maletín sería su vuelta a la órbita del mayor título de la WWE. Serán estos dos luchadores los que se jueguen todo en un mano a mano encima de la escalera.

Aunque con una historia detrás poco consistente y que además terminará en cuanto se termine el combate, si no dura más de 15 minutos (Henry no puede aguantar más) podrá ser un buen combate basado fundamentalmente en el castigo físico y en la fuerza bruta. Es una pena que ya no continúe porque podría ser muy interesante, pero Cena ganará y retendrá el título en su camino a un nuevo feudo con Bryan que comenzará en breve y tendrá su primer asalto en Summerslam. Este será un combate de transición y poco más, del que lo más relevante será ver que hacen ahora con Henry.
