El luchador de Davenport, Iowa se ha consolidado como uno de los luchadores destacados en su zona de influencia en Illinois, pero aun le falta da el salto a las grandes ligas. De todas maneras el luchador sigue demostrando buenas maneras en su forma de luchar y en su haber debemos destacar que junto a Dan Lawrence formando el equipo Members Only es el campeón por parejas de Dreamwave, después de derrotar en junio a The Beck Family. Además en Dreamwave ha tenido luchas interesantes ante el propio Dan Lawrence o Austin Roberts. En AAW empezo el año en un feudo contra Gregory Iron al que acabó derrotando en un lumberjack match, luego formó una alianza junto a Marcus Crane con el que disputó algunos combates por parejas y por último ha tenido un rivalidad con ACH. También decir que aprovechando que Dragon Gate USA hizo un show en Illinois, Shane Hollister fue uno de los talentos locales utilizado en el show pero perdió su combate ante Samuray del Sol. Por último comentar que Shane Hollister participó en los torneos Medallion y King of  Frontier pero en ambos cayó eliminado en primera ronda ante ACH y Tyler Priegel respectivamente. Shane Hollister acabó el año poniendo en juego los servicios de su valet, Scarlett, en un combate mano a mano ante Colt Cabana en el último show del año de AAW, pero Hollister logró salir victorioso.
