Matt Cross, el luchador de Ohio sigue dando muestras de su enorme calidad como Highflyer pero su handicap está en sus continuos viajes fuera de Estados Unidos que no le permiten participar asiduamente en empresas de las punteras en el mundo independiente de Estados Unidos. Este año tenemos como hecho mas destacado la segunda juventud de Cross junto a su compañero Josh Prohibition como tag team con Youthanazia, ya que han conseguido ser campeones de parejas de la empresa AIW desde marzo hasta julio. Youthanazia consiguió el título el 2 de marzo en el show Gaunlet for the Gold 7 al derrotar a Aeroform (Louis Lyndon & Flip Kendrick) y lo defendieron con acierto ante Irish Airbone para perderlo posteriormente ante The Batiri. Además Matt Cross también ha sido un habitual de la empresa Resistance Pro donde disputó un combate fatal four way ante El Generico que ganaría el combate, PAC y Petey Williams, una triple amenaza que ganaría ante Mr.450 & Ricochet y por último formaría parte del torneo por parejas de la misma empresa junto a Chris Hall, llegando hasta cuartos de final tras derrotar en primera ronda a Sue Jackson & Tripp Cassidy y perdiendo en cuartos ante Lock Up (Epic & Suge).  Además Matt Cross ha estado luchando en Alemania y Reino Unido este año.

Matt Cross, the Ohio wrestler continued to show his great quality as Highflyer but his handicap is his constant trips outside the United States that do not allow him to participate regularly in the leading companies in the world independent wrestling of the United States. This year the more prominent fact is the second Cross youth with teammate Josh Prohibition as a tag team with Youthanazia, as they have managed to become AIW tag team champions from March to July. Youthanazia won the title on March 2 in the Gauntlet for the Gold show in July by defeating Aeroform (Louis Lyndon & Flip Kendrick) and successfully defended it against Irish Airborne to lose afterwards to The Batiri. Matt Cross also has been a regular at Resistance Pro where he wrestled a Fatal Four Way match against El Generico (who won the match), PAC and Petey Williams, a triple threat to win Mr.450 & Ricochet and finally be part of the tag team tournament of the same company with Chris Hall, reaching the quarterfinals after beating  Sue Jackson & Tripp Cassidy in the first round and losing to Lock Up (Epic & Suge). Matt Cross also has been fighting in Germany and the UK this year.
